Belle Isle Project Will Open a Channel from Detroit River Inland Lake Okonoka

The current state of Lake Okonoka is a disheveled mess. However, those who appreciate the beauty of the eastern side of Belle Isle will eventually be able to enjoy a restored lake with improved fishing and recreational activities, as well as an open channel to the Detroit River, according to officials.
