Jump-start Texas Boat Season This Week at the Fort Worth Boat Expo

DALLAS (March 13, 2018) – Recent rains have left Texas lakes brimming and many recreational boating Texans with cabin fever. Whether you fish, sail, enjoy cruising, riding personal watercraft or wakesurfing, the Fort Worth Boat Expo is a great opportunity to rid yourself of that cabin fever to board hundreds of boats, browse booths showcasing marine accessories and services, and gather with thousands of other enthusiasts all under one roof. And it’s all free.

The Fort Worth Boat Expo will be docked at Amon G. Carter Exhibit Hall at the Will Rogers Memorial Complex in Fort Worth Thursday, March 15 through Sunday, March 18. Presented by The United Boat Dealers of North Texas, the show brings together all that has to do with boating, from the newest powerboats to motorboats and cruisers to the latest vessels that will make their way across the world’s waters, whether to dock in international destinations or closer to home.

Exhibitors will be on-site to show off the newest models and display the most popular boats in their lineups. Among the boats attendees will see, Freedom Powersports and Marine of Lewisville will be featuring the sleek and impressive 2018 Centurion Fi23 wide bow surf and wake boat. Comparing it to when an exotic sports car meets luxury sedan, Centurion says of the Fi23 that “the new Opti-V modified deep-v hull design will change your view of the world,” while its superior handling and fuel economy tell a story of thoughtful design and customer-centric thinking.

Meanwhile, Lake Granbury Marina will be showing Hobie Mirage Pedal Kayaks, known for their breakthrough design that maximizes fun and performance. The Mirage Compass and Mirage Outback models will be on display as well as inflatable stand-up paddleboards.

For consumers contemplating a purchase, you can’t beat the selection at the Fort Worth Boat Expo.

“Boat shows are the place to buy,” said Bron Beal of The United Boat Dealers of North Texas. “It’s your once-a-year chance to see a wide selection of watercraft, compare makes and models, secure insurance and financing, and get the latest accessories all at one time. With the wide selection of models on display, the competition between exhibitors and the broad range of services offered, consumers get more choices, ready access to all the information they need, and very attractive prices and terms.”

Show hours are Thursday, March 15, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, March 16, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, March 17, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, March 18, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For schedule details and a full list of exhibitors, visit www.fortworthboatexpo.com.
