Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – GOST (Global Ocean Security Technologies), a world leader in marine security, tracking, monitoring and video surveillance systems, announced today it has partnered with Ship Shape TV to provide a GOST Nav-Tracker 1.0 for the Taco Marine Project Boat featured on the show.
The Taco Marine Project Boat is a two-year-long project featured on Ship Shape TV that encompasses upgrading a 1989 Pursuit 2650 boat to 2016 model year standards using the latest, most current products. Once completed, the boat will be auctioned off with proceeds being donated to the I’m Logan It Foundation.
Created in memory of Logan Matthew Kushner, who passed away in 2012 at the age of 19, the non-profit, charitable organization’s mission is to inspire young people to achieve good self-esteem by encouraging them to do acts of kindness in their daily lives and mentor this message to others throughout their schools and communities. In addition, the Foundation raises funds for charities and organizations including local youth sports programs, Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) – which Kushner was actively involved in – and promotes awareness of Tourette Syndrome, which he had and learned to live with daily as he educated and raised awareness of the condition to others.
The installed GOST Nav-Tracker 1.0 is a marine-grade, water resistant tracking system that provides reliable global Inmarsat satellite-based vessel tracking and management from anywhere in the world. Fans of the show can go to GOSTglobal.com or use the GOST Tracker app to see the boat’s exact latitude, longitude, speed and heading.
“We truly enjoy being involved with projects such as Taco Marine Project Boat and charitable organizations like I’m Logan It Foundation,” said Jay Keenan, president and CEO, GOST. “The GOST Nav-Tracker 1.0 is such a simple product that can be vital in protecting a boat owner’s investment. In the case of Taco Marine Project Boat, the Nav-Tracker and the free Nav-Tracker app not only allow the owner to monitor the location of the vessel in the event of theft, they also let fans of the project see exactly where the boat is. It takes the boat off the TV and puts it into right into your hands, which ultimately will spread awareness of the valuable work the I’m Logan It Foundation does.”
