Synopsis for Altamaha Sound GA to Flagler Beach FL out to 60 nm-
211 AM EDT Tue Jun 3 2025

.SYNOPSIS...

A frontal boundary will approach from the north and stall near GA
waters later today. Meanwhile, high pressure centered over the
Mid- Atlantic states will gradually strengthen as it shifts
eastward into the Atlantic today. Breezy onshore winds will
develop today thanks to this strengthening pressure gradient, in
addition to a surface trough/low developing over the Florida
Peninsula today. The low will slowly drift northward across much
of the region through Thursday, with increasing chances for
showers and a few thunderstorms across our local waters today but
especially Wednesday/Thursday. Southerly winds will prevail by
Thursday as the low lifts north of our local waters, with winds
shifting to southwesterly and gradually diminishing by Friday as
Atlantic high pressure extends across the Florida peninsula.
