Surf Zone Forecast
National Weather Service Tallahassee FL
429 AM EDT Wed May 28 2025
.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...
A moderate risk of rip currents will continue today and Thursday, as
light winds over the northeast Gulf support surf heights of 1 foot or
less. Southwest and westerly breezes will start to pick up late
Thursday, becoming fresh on Friday in advance of a cold frontal
passage on Friday evening. This will bring the next high risk event
for all area beaches on Friday. Behind the front on Saturday, the day
will start off with northerly offshore breezes, but enough westerly
swell will linger to keep the high risk going for west- and
southwest-exposed beaches of Gulf County and possibly Bay County.
