Synopsis for Keys coastal waters from Ocean Reef to Dry Tortugas
1044 AM EDT Fri May 30 2025

.SYNOPSIS...An area of low pressure will continue moving eastward
across the Appalachian Mountains today, and will strengthen as it
moves into New England by Saturday morning. Its corresponding
cold front will move offshore the Southeast U.S. coastline eroding
the ridge that has been in place for the last several days. As a
result, gentle to moderate southeast to south breezes will shift
to to the southwest to west this afternoon. The front will stall
across the central to south Florida Peninsula over the weekend
into early next week. This will lead to weak flow keeping breezes
mainly light to gentle through the period. In addition, a wetter
regime remains likely for this period with an increase in coverage
area for showers and thunderstorms.
