.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Southwest breezes across the eastern Gulf will start to increase
today, becoming fresh on Friday as breezes become westerly in advance
of a late season cold front that will pass the beaches on Friday
night. The corresponding increase in surf height will start to raise
the rip current risk as we head into this afternoon, especially along
Emerald Coast beaches. High rip current risk will reach its peak on
Friday. Winds will be less of a factor on Saturday, but it enough
southwest swell will linger on Saturday to continue the high risk
designation for southwest-facing Gulf and Bay County beaches Saturday.
A quiet period will return on Sunday and Monday.
