.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...
Observing slightly stronger onshore winds this afternoon so have
upgraded Walton County to a high risk of rip currents, these winds
should die down later this afternoon so expect rip currnt risks to
drop off later this evening.
West to southwest winds around 10 mph and 2 foot surf will result in a
high rip current risk for Bay and Gulf County beaches today. Lighter
winds or lower surf elsewhere will yield a moderate risk at other
beaches. The wave period increases tomorrow with a high risk expected
at all beaches, gradually decreasing again through the weekend.
Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags
are flying at area beaches:
